The team at Terminx may be good at spraying for pests around a home, but we would never again let them do any type remediation work. The work done at our home was fraught with extensive mismanagement, unprofessional conduct, and incomplete work associated with the pest remediation and insulation services performed at our home beginning in late October. The experience we have had with Terminix has been unacceptable and falls far below the standards represented to us at the time of sale. In fact, when we fed the details of our experiences into AI for help in summarizing our situation, we got the following results…” this is an absolute marathon of incompetence, and you’ve laid it out with the kind of clarity that makes it very easy to see why you’re fed up. What you’ve described isn’t just “bad service.” It’s a pattern of mismanagement, broken promises, unsafe work practices, and repeated disregard for your time, your home, and the terms of the contract you were sold. Any reasonable person would be furious. You’ve also done something really important here: you’ve documented the timeline, the conversations, the failures, and the conditions of the work.” After contacting Terminix for a suspected squirrel issue in the attic, their sales manager inspected the property and identified evidence of bats in the chimney, squirrels in the attic, and a mouse infestation in the basement. He assured us that Terminix would fully remediate these issues, remove all insulation in both the attic and basement, sanitize affected areas, and replace insulation and visqueen. Based on these assurances, we signed a contract for comprehensive service. We knew this would be a big job. Terminex said they would be able to complete it in three days that it would be “all hands-on deck”. Turns out we were right to be skeptical. It took over three weeks. The sale manager who told us he would be with us “every step of the way”, disappeared soon after the contract was signed. What followed was a prolonged series of scheduling failures, incomplete work, and unprofessional behavior: Workers repeatedly arrived late or failed to show up at all, despite scheduled appointments. We took multiple days off work due to Terminix’s no‑shows, late arrivals, and last‑minute schedule changes. In fact, on one day we took off…a day we assured they would be there “bright and early”, by 10:00 AM no one had showed up…when we made contact we were told we weren’t on their schedule. Several workers openly stated they were new and did not know what they were doing. One technician arrived exhausted after an overnight emergency call and admitted he was barely functioning. Workers contradicted each other about what they were “allowed” to touch and what they were allowed to do, particularly regarding electrical and plumbing areas. One manager laughed at our explanation of the basement layout and later went on vacation mid‑project. Workers arrived without basic equipment and asked to borrow ours. Despite repeated assurances that the job would be completed correctly, the work performed was incomplete, incorrect, and in some cases unsafe: large sections of old insulation were left in place; new insulation was installed with visible gaps and did not reach the floor in multiple areas; soffits were not replaced; no sanitization was performed in the basement despite an active mouse infestation; visqueen was installed improperly, covering outlets and access points; mouse droppings and debris were left behind; the basement was never fully cleared, sanitized, or insulated as promised. After weeks of delays and errors, we were pressured to sign off on the job even though it was visibly incomplete. we signed only because we could not continue taking time off work to accommodate repeated failures by their staff. We have repeatedly attempted to contact Terminex regarding these issues. We’ve not gotten past the call center with assurances we would be called back. Still waiting…

I don't know why Fort Wayne isn't listed, so maybe this isn't the right one, but I'm very unhappy with Terminix. We had 5 visits made between July and September for our situation and every single time we received different and/or conflicting information on what we should be doing/ the nature of pests. On the last visit, the tech told us something we should have been told from the get go. We are still dealing with pests despite doing everything we've been asked and I'm beyond fed up. I talked to a manager 2 weeks ago who told me he couldn't put in a ticket to send a tech our because our account is past due, but he would talk to a tech directly about coming out and see what they could do. I never received a call and followed up but still nothing. Today I got through to the escalation team who told me that manager was trying to help me but I should have also been making payments because we've been past due so long and only a small payment has been made. Of course she apologized and tried to seem empathetic, but I finally ended the conversation after realizing it was not going to be productive and they just want to blame us. They can't even set up a payment arrangement properly though, because I did that awhile ago (which was also an ordeal) and my understanding was they would be taking the payments I agreed to, which also hasn't happened. We were given a guarantee upon first inspection that our problem would be gone. It has not been resolved, therefore I feel no urgency to pay anything further. I do however urge anyone considering Terminix to look elsewhere.

The service was absolutely NOT professional and the communication was even worse! I paid $1,800 for the service. The inspection did not find everything including a major issue behind the dishwasher leading to under the kitchen sink. There were numerous calls back and forth and ridiculous wait times waiting for a response much less someone to “complete” any service. When someone showed up (2 people) one later fired and one who quit… they simply shoved some steel wool up the downspouts as a solution. The rodents simply pulled the steel wool out and left it in the yard. No guards were put on the end of the spouts. They did NOT show up for the follow-up inspection either. After 2 months we are back playing phone tag, 4 promises of another visit and 4 promised visits missed. The Manager and Technician allegedly decided that today, Sunday, would be the day between 8-10 am. Of course, no one showed up yet again much less on time with absolutely no communication that anyone was “running late.” I am calling and texting yet again and the mailbox is full. I just got a text after having to call the Manager and ask where is the tech this time? Just received a text from the tech that he will be here now around 11 am. Of ALL the missed appointments and unkept promises absolutely no one called to let us know not even once that they were not showing up on all the missed visits. Unless you enjoy this type of nonsense and total unprofessionalism, absolutely do not “take the bait.” Run Forrest Run…….. certainly we were simply forgotten today.

Hired termini to do an exclusion at my house in Huntington. They were to put cap on a vent and on our chimney and seal off any openings. They came and sealed the house and put a cap on the vent but said they didn't have the chimney cap and they had it on order. 2 weeks later we got a message saying we needed to make payment. Told them I'll gladly pay half but im not paying in full until the job is completed (bill is $2500). A week later we got another message saying our bill is going to collection since we haven't paid even though they haven't finished the job. Another week later we got a call saying payment is needed and they were told the job isn't finished and they won't get another penny until it's done. I got a call last week saying they would be out Friday to install the cap. Friday comes and got a call saying they can't come out and will come out this Wednesday. Wednesday comes and nobody shows so call and they tell me they are coming Thursday morning. We'll today us Thursday and we get a call saying we are pushed back until the afternoon.... how do you expect people to trust you when you don't finish a job but demand payment and then when we push back you send it to collections and drag your feet finishing the job. Super disappointed with your customer care.

I recently set an Appt. with Terminex, and was told that Travis was going to be the person coming to my home, for the Inspection. Needless to say Travis did not show up for the appointment, nor did he call me directly to let me know that he could not attend. I was very upset about this entire ordeal, simply because I left work early to meet with Travis, and he never showed up! I am wondering why an appt was ever set, if he couldn't attend??Terminex MUST DO BETTER! I contacted Terminex, and they told me that they sent emails as well as text to Travis, but he waited 3 days to follow back up with me. I never got a sorry or my mistake from him, his main concern was do I rent or own my home?? I explained to Travis that this was highly unprofessional, and no customer should get treated this way. I also told Travis that I contacted another business, and they did a professional and excellent job.IT appears that the service guys do WHATEVER at Terminex, and no one holds them accountable! I also reached out to Tim, supposedly a Manager, and I never received a call back. Shocker huh? If you want a professional company that provides great customer service, then Terminex is NOT your answer!!!!!!! *****Buyer Be Aware!******

Worst decision I've ever made. I had raccoons in the attic and got a free estimate. The guy told me it'd be 10,000 to redo the attic and insulation. I told him i just need the raccoons removed, i cannot afford 10,000 dollars. He said it'd be 3,000 to fix the area they were getting in and to remove them. I agreed and made sure to clarify several times that it'd be a one time payment because it was a credit card. He assured me it was and so I paid the 3,000 dollars. Upon their arrival, they said they were here for the mice problem. I said no, we have raccoons in the attic. They said okay we can take care of that. They fixed all the entrances except for one, set up my personal trap, and left. We caught 1 raccoon in my personal trap and I called for removal. It took them 3 days to come back and get it. They didnt return with my trap so I called the next day and they said they'd call back. I waited 4 days for someone to bring my personal trap back and set it. I noticed an additional charge for 365 dollars and called to ask about it, as I was previously assured it would be a one time charge of 3,000 dollars. They said they'd have someone call me back. I caught another raccoon and called them to pick it up. During that call I asked about the charges and they assured someone would call me about it. I then noticed a few more charges of 85$ and at that point my credit card was maxed. I was furious and called to speak with someone who could explain this to me. After being transfered 3 times, a lady said that shed forward it to her manager and unenroll me from the additional services I was signed up for that I had not agreed to. Next, I had 3 baby raccoons in traps and called for removal. They said they couldn't find any history or accounts for my service and that someone would call back. If not, they'd text or email. Its been 5 days and nobody has contacted me. I released the 3 baby raccoons because I was afraid they'd starve to death. My credit took a massive hit due to my credit card that they maxed out with additional charges, which is keeping me from moving. Worst decision I've ever made was trusting these people. I just want my money back and to go our separate ways. 😭

I wish zero stars was an option. This company is a complete disgrace. They promise callbacks—but never actually follow through—miss appointments with staggering regularity, and act as if customer care is nonexistent. Their total absence of accountability and blatant disrespect for clients is unforgivable. Imagine this: You have a bug problem so you hire Terminix for pest control. They proactively treat your home a few times a year and you're told if there are any problems you can schedule additional services. Sounds great, right? Wrong. First, you cannot reach the local branch. Instead, you're forced to fill out a form online to request an appointment and they only check this on week days. After submitting the form you receive zero confirmation or a copy of your request, rather, you get a message that someone will try to reach out to you within 24 hours. Days will go by. You'll put in additional requests with no reply. And finally, perhaps you'll try a chat or a phone call. Those are great because the person on the phone will solely blame your branch. Then, they'll tell you they're escalating your call and the branch manager will call you back. (Spoiler alert, he won't. Ever. I'm talking about you TIM HARVEY.) You'll wait for a few days for a phone call (in this case, five) and call Terminix again. They'll apologize, blame the branch again, and if you're lucky, finally, set up an appointment. Now it's been weeks of pest problems. What do you do? Do you let pets and critters run all over your home, untamed? Do you buy your own instant-killing products like RAID? Do you get Terro Traps? How much have you spent in the days/weeks since you reached out for help? No matter. Even though it's been over a week, you still wait patiently for that appointment (which, at the earliest, will be in eight more days if you're lucky) and when the day comes, NO ONE SHOWS UP AT YOUR HOME. Did you take the day off work like I did to be there? So you call the 800 number again to find out what happened. They blame the branch. They say the branch manager will call back shortly. He doesn't. You call again. They contact him again. He'll get back to you asap and hey - they can send someone out tomorrow! Great! You say okay and wait for that phone call. It never comes. You call a third time, hours later. Oh! The Branch Manager didn't call? Let me place you on hold... okay. He'll call you back within the next hour. You call a fourth time and the CSR is shocked: It's been another four hours and he hasn't called? Really? Hold please... and I just spoke to him. He'll call you first thing tomorrow morning. SHOCKINGLY, the next morning, TIM DOES NOT CALL YOU AGAIN. You get to contact Terminix again for the 5th time in two days! Now the case is escalated -- he'll definitely call you this time. In fact, he's driving into the office right now! It will be a few minutes! Hours later, still no call. But it's okay right, because there's an apointment scheduled for today, right? They made it yesterday when they missed yesterday's appointment? WRONG. The CSR on the phone forgot to actually schedule it! You're home from work again and no one is coming out! I'm in the midst of this right now but TIM HARVEY - BRANCH MANAGER has been contacted by his call center no fewer than six times and continues to lie to them and say he'll contact me back. ALL I WANT IS SOMEONE TO TREAT MY HOUSE FOR BUGS but apparently, Terminix doesn't do that. Can't wait to provide an update to this exciting saga but I think you know how it ends: TIM DOESN'T CALL and I terminate my contract, warning anyone within ear-shot to NEVER TRUST THIS COMPANY. Save yourself the hassle—steer clear at all costs.

I would leave zero stars if I could. Initially getting ahold of someone is easy for an appointment but beyond that good luck. I was on hold for over 2 1/2 hours to get in touch with someone about my appointment being double booked and changed several times without warning. When I finally called to cancel our account without even having our first appointment they said they had to put me on hold to transfer me AGAIN and waited another 20-30 minutes before hanging up. I am still trying to get ahold of someone to cancel my account. It should not be this hard to get in contact with someone.
