One star because it’s not possible to leave no stars. I called initially for a general pest inspection, and I was heavily suspecting rodents of some kind. We told the inspector I have been hearing sounds of scratching from the wall/attic area. Not only did he NOT look in the attic, he did not inspect the perimeter of the house for potential entry points or any potential issues. Just sent me an email for preventative maintenance if I wanted to do it, but stated in the report that he did not see any visible signs of rodents. I was completely unhappy and dissatisfied with that inspection and called another company to come out and do an inspection. My problem was immediately identified with the other company that came out. Turns out I have not only mice, but a variety of wildlife that has been hanging out in my attic!! Big time ball drop by Terminix. I now have signed a contract with another company for extermination and exclusion. It also bears mentioning that I have called multiple times to give feedback on my experience with my inspection and the responses I have gotten are very similar. Kind of a standard, “okay, what do you want us to do about it?” Someone had told me on Monday when I called about a follow up to my inspection, I was told I would be contacted on Tuesday by someone at the regional office. No one called. I called today to express my dissatisfaction and I was thanked for my feedback. The whole experience kinda blew my mind to be completely honest.

I have been a customer for 20+ years. The service has always been good. I have not had any problems with any type of persistent insect issues. My last technician Joe Mcculough was the best technician that I have ever had. He was so thorough and I hope he will continue to be my technician. I use them for 2 different properties and recommend them to family and friends

Technician was extremely professional and answered all my questions. I did feel price was a bit high $277 for approx 30 mins service, then a monthly fee for someone to come out quarterly on top of that. I have not seen any more carpenter ants or damage- so I believe it did the job.

Our Terminix technician, Brian Harlow, has been visiting our home on a quarterly basis for a few years now. I feel we are in good hands. He’s knowledgeable, professional, friendly and always willing to help. In addition to regular inspections and treatments he once knocked down a wasp’s nest and helped rid our garage of large (in my opinion) spiders. I’m always glad to see him and Terminix should know that he’s a wonderful ambassador for the company.

Leaving 1 star because it’s not possible to leave less. I’ve had issues with ants and Termite swarmers both inside and outside and NO ONE within this company takes the initiative to treat the problems - no scheduling, no showing up, no one communicates when they say they will - nothing! The only thing this company has been good at so far is taking my monthly payments and not upholding their duty of providing requested services. Once they have the monthly payment they are gone. Zero luck in trying to speak to a manager. The communication this company has internally is also a complete disaster. It is unbelievable how many people I can talk to and how they can all give different information. One person says they will do one thing, another says something else, everyone in this company contradicts each other meanwhile I’m just trying to get the services I'm paying for! I’ve had Terminix employees text me directly admitting their customer service team is useless. Take a look at my pictures and tell me why this is something I’d want to pay $150+ for to see EVERYDAY with no treatment in sight. The only good this company can do for me at this point is cancel my services, NEVER charge my card again and NEVER contact me ever again (they never contact me anyway!)

Terminix does a pretty good job on their pest control service. They show up on time and as promised, usually sending a text the day before. They do a good job, seem pretty thorough, and let us know about any issues they come across. We have had their service many years and really have had a pretty good experience with them. The issue going forward for me is that the price has just gone up. Again. And it's not cheap. Having said all that about the pest service the animal exclusion side of the terminix business is the absolute worst. This is a separate service that is pretty costly upfront. And then a yearly critter removal and maintenance program for an ongoing yearly fee. In exchange for your hard earned dollars they agree to remove the critter and repair or patch the entrance and exit holes caused by the critter. Good luck with that! If you are thinking about this service do not under any circumstances use this company! They are the absolute worst! When you need the service they will gladly set an appointment. And sometimes they will actually show up. Sometimes. When they do you will likely hear "oh I don't have a ladder". Sometimes when they do show and actually seal the hole so the animals can't get in anymore, they actually seal the animal in and you will get to hear it scraping and scratching trying to get out for the next few days. And while you are frantically calling trying to get somebody back out to let the squirrel out that they sealed in, you won't be able to actually get in touch with anybody that can actually do anything. What you will get is a call center who will put you on hold while they fake call the tech in the field. They never seem to reach them but they leave a message. And of course they are happy to set an appointment for you. 4 days from now. Meanwhile the squirrel is either chewing its way out somewhere else or- slowly dying in the sealed trap. So 4 days later you take off work to be there. The tech texts at 8:30 a.m. to let you know he's on his way. Between 8-12 right. By 1:30 you are calling the terminix number and of course it a call center. You can't actually reach anybody in the local office. They express concern and once again reach out to the field tech. Not hearing back they say they sent a message to the manager too and that I should expect a call directly. Ha! By 3:00 you are calling again. This time you are told that the appointment has been canceled. Amazing! No reason, just that it's been canceled. But they can schedule an appointment for you if you like. Sound like a company that you want to be involved with for your critter control? Do yourself a favor and stay far away from these folks. I'm still waiting for someone to get back to me and get somebody out here to fix this hole. The squirrel did get out on its own. But this is just the latest on a series of empty promises and issues not resolved by this company. Don't get sucked in like we did, do some research, look at their reviews and go elsewhere. ----------------------------------------------------------- So it's now been three weeks since this post. Terminix reached our to me one time by phone. I've since left 5 messages with no return call. I'm convinced this is by design. That if they come out and service the contract then they are losing money. The money that has been paid upfront, the very expensive money paid upfront. So why would they want to send a service person out. I'm sure they figure that by doing so costs them money. Unlike the pest control side that has to actually provide ongoing service because they get paid monthly or quarterly or whatever it is. So if the animal exclusion side can ignore the customer, provide no way to actually talk with a responsible manager rather than a call center that promises you the world. . Flake on appointments. Do shoddy work, including trapping animals in. Then eventually you as a customer will give up in frustration. Saving them money by once again, not actually providing service. So do yourself a favor. Do not use these folks.
