Edit: I was contacted on August 10th by a representative from the Owings Mills office named Mike. He apologized for the mess and offered to come out the same day to get rid of the nest, which I took him up on. The hornet nest has been removed and now I need to wait for the remaining hornets to dissipate. I moved the review score to 4 stars for the timely turnaround. Terminix needs to work on its communication to prevent customer service problems in the future. There appears to be a disconnect between the different offices that prevent everyone from being on the same page. Appointments get made, either verbally over the phone or on a local level in the paperwork, but don't always translate accurately, or at all, into something logged within the system itself. A big thank you to Mike for coming out to making it right. Original: Right off the bat, Terminix failed to make the appropriate appointment time for the estimate. On the phone, I made an appointment for 3pm - 5pm. I got a call from the representative around 8am that day because it was scheduled for that time in the system. Fortunately, I was home and made that work anyway. According to my signed, exclusion punch list that the representative gave me, I paid $500 to have the hornet's nest treated AND removed. The price doesn't bother me due to the size of the nest and where it's at. It all seems fair to me. The exterminator, David, showed up on time on July 25th and treated the nest. He, or someone else, was supposed to return for a follow up appointment on August 8th. Nobody showed up or called that day. I called Terminix customer support, and they said that no appointment was scheduled for that day and the service they have in their system was a one-time thing. I explained what was stated in my Terminix report to the representative, and she put me on hold to reach out and figure out what was going on. When she returned, she told me David was supposed to call me within a day. I did not receive any call. The nest is still there and still appears active. I either need someone to come out here and finish the job or provide a refund so that I can hire someone else who will follow through. Both of which may prove difficult.

I’m pleased with the service I received overall. Maurice Davenport, Sean Richardson and Ira Cutler were all very attentive and helpful. I also think they are all very busy but despite that they were all efficient and worked hard despite the extreme heat wave. I signed up for a years worth of service and I am glad I did!. And I am glad that I settled on Terminix and not on one of its competitors.

This company is very dishonest. They gave me an estimate for a specific pest issue I had and I agreed to it. They stated on the sales/scheduling call that my account will not be charged until the work order was completed but that was untrue because it charged it immediately. I let that go since the appointment was the next day but then when the technician arrived, they tell me I have to sign this contract. The contract was for a whole additional $69.99/month 12 month policy which I was not advised of on the call. On the call the sales rep mentioned “IF YOU LIKE, there is a $69.99/month plan you can sign up for”. He never mentioned that now I’m locked in to it by agreeing to this appointment. The tech tells me, well I can’t do the treatment today if you don’t sign but at that point I really didn’t have a choice bc they had now already charged me for the job. These are crooks. I wouldn’t recommend at all.

I feel I was over charged for the service I received with the representative who did the home inspection quote. They cover a little bit of holes, charged me $400 and went on their way. I used to see signs of mice all on my dryer, that has changed. The biggest problem is in the kitchen and the activity is the same. Two technicians that came out were good in completing their work. Waiting for the tech to come back for his two weeks follow up and it’s going on almost 3 weeks. Will see what have with those little critters who are invading my home. I am updating my review today. Service is a-okay . They will continue to come back when you have problems. Maybe I underestimated the company. Customer service on phone is helpful.

First, they honored the special promotion price with no issues or raised the cost after the initial inspection. By the way, the inspector Mike Ford was a wealth of knowledge and shared vital tips to help with some of the more immediate problems right away. Next, the service Technician Charles was all over it. He came in to first assess the situation and began to take a calculated approach that I feel will help to resolve this matter pretty quickly. Terminix has been on the ball

I hired this company because I had a problem with cockroach tech came to the house late twice spray something around and leave in less than 10min? The second visit I was not home again shows up late I explain that he supposed to be here early he goes “ I hit you up during this week “ proceeds to send a complete job message?
