After a year of service, our pest issue remains unresolved. The technician who visited our home was always respectful and friendly, but the products used only seem to suppress the problem temporarily rather than eliminate it, perhaps by design to keep customers reliant on ongoing treatment. Cancellation is also incredibly difficult. There’s no way to do it online, and after waiting over an hour on hold, the customer service representative I finally reached made inappropriate, suggestive remarks. Even after I told him his comments were making me uncomfortable, he persisted and tried to excuse his behavior by saying others enjoy it. Overall, I would not recommend Terminix.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Terminix Hawaii is hands-down the worst pest control company I have ever dealt with. Their customer service is a complete joke, their technicians are unreliable, and their treatment plans do not work. After MONTHS of dealing with these clowns, my pest problem is worse than when I started. I scheduled multiple appointments, and they either showed up late, rescheduled last-minute, or didn’t bother to show up at all with ZERO communication. Taking time off work for nothing? Thanks, Terminix. The salesperson promised a comprehensive pest treatment plan, regular follow-ups, and guaranteed results. What I got? Half-baked treatments, rushed appointments, and zero follow-up unless I called repeatedly to beg for someone to come back. I was overcharged for services that were never even completed. Trying to get a refund was like pulling teeth with the endless phone calls, being transferred around, and absolutely no accountability. Still no resolution to this day. When someone did show up, they barely inspected the property, sprayed around the edges like they were in a hurry to leave, and didn’t address any of the actual issues I raised. I’m pretty sure a can of Raid and a YouTube tutorial would’ve been more effective. Despite months of “treatment,” the pests are still here. Terminix made it abundantly clear they have no idea how to handle local infestations. Roaches, ants, centipedes are all still crawling around like nothing was ever done. Terminix Hawaii is a total waste of time, money, and patience. You’re better off hiring a local, reputable pest control company that actually cares about your home and your sanity. I regret ever signing that contract. Please learn from my mistake. DO NOT TRUST TERMINIX.

We have Terminex spray around our house 4 times a year to keep roaches and centipedes (and any other creepy crawley thing) out, George (our Terminex Tech) is wonderful and does a great job spraying around the house, he answers all our questions and is always on time. We recommend the Terminex Company to anyone needing bug and/or termite treatment.

I reached out to a number of local pest control companies and only Terminix’s guy was willing to go in my attic to inspect for termites. They were also able to squeeze my fumigation in the schedule only a few weeks out which was a lifesaver since the termites were winning at that point! Fumigation went well, I just recommend you mention any gas appliances you have and consider that the gas company won’t come to turn on gas until the day AFTER the tent is removed, so you may not have hot water as soon as the termite company releases the house to you.
