Made a huge mistake having Terminix install a vapor barrier in our crawl space. Despite paying over $2,000 the quality of the work looks like something I could have done in an afternoon by myself. The soil isn't fully covered and the barrier wasn't run all the way to the wall. Instead of fastening the barrier nicely to the wall, the plastic is just laying there completely unsecured. A quick Google search will show what a vapor barrier should look like when laid correctly. I knew to be concerned when I was told by an inspector that the job would take most of the day, but the technician only spent a little over 90 minutes at my house. I would expect the work I'm paying a professional for to look like it was done by a professional.

Termininx Commercial was a huge disappointment Black Diamond Pest Control was great. We had German Cockroaches coming into our Restaurant from a nest in the Wall Our first call was to Terminix (well known local company and we had used them before). Their Tech Tanner came out and was totally unprepared. We had waited days for this appointment; I took time off work to meet him here. After several conversations with his supervisors Matt and Larry telling us they wouldn't be able to do the work that day (it was obvious the tech did not want to be there, it is a Large kitchen ) they told us they were not equipped to do the job. Really? After Googling around I found Black Diamond (also a local company). The person i spoke with on the phone sent someone out that morning (it happened to be the owner). He looked at the problem (including looking in the dish Room, which the Terminix guy Tanner wouldn't do) and realized the urgency. He sent a technician out later that eveninig and the Roaches was removed. No drama, no multiple phone calls, Just taking care of business and providing good customer service. The cherry on the cake, Black Diamond charged less than Terminix was going to charge. Five stars for Black Diamond, no stars for Terminix on this one.

My mother requested pest control service from the Terminix company responsible in the Cincinnati Ohio area. As this process unfolded its beginning to take on the APPEARANCE that the Terminix company is taking advantage of an 81 year old widow. In the beginning it seemed to work out but over time the in dealing with the sales reps it became confusing as to what my mother purchased. The services that were provided went from bed protection warranty to new gutter installation. To add, there were certain aspects of the job which my mother paid for and approximately two weeks and several phone calls later, she has still not received her refund for the cancelled work. My mother contacted me, and I have talked to the original sales rep, but I became concerned enough to travel back to Cincinnati to get personally involved. After another phone call, and Terminix customer rep came, and we had a one on one discussion where I explained my concerns. As we discussed the issues regarding the services that were purchased, I told the customer rep that I would give him a call to schedule future appointments for paid pest control services after I travelled back to home. The morning Monday after I returned home, and the customer rep told me he would call back at noon, and he never called me back. I understand that some issues could come up that did not allow for the customer service rep to call, but a text or any quick form of communication would have been suffice. While I am not a businessperson, I retired from the military with 30+ years of service and understand when a problem with customer services arises, priorities have to change to make sure the customer is taken care of. All this requires is a simple phone call. If anybody within Terminix cares, at any level I am willing to discuss. This is leaving a bad taste and has a horrible look. Thank you As of 28 March, this process of review doesn’t seem useful. Only emails I have received, are asking for more information which isn’t very reassuring. I have offered my phone number for someone to give me a call.
